To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

HELLO !

On behalf of all the Lions of District 323 A2, I personally welcome you to our Club Web Site.  It shall enrich you with lots of information about what we do at Lions Club of Bombay Hilltop.

If you are a 323 A2 Lion, take some time to browse. You'll find many resources here, such as the club calendar, formation, Circulars, News Letter, links to District Web Site, Lions Clubs of India, LCI, LCIF and others, downloadable forms etc.

If you are a Lion from outside our district, welcome! Let's share and mutually benefit in lionistic experience and grow richer. If you like to be notified about Our Club Event, send your email address to our webmaster and you'll be included on our list.

If you are not yet a Lion, come and see what you are missing in life. We would like you to browse through and learn that life can be a lot more than just Me and My self. You can learn a lot about what we do as Lions by visiting our Learn More About Lions page.

In our Email Directory we have all the Members listed and in our Website along with contact information - find one near you and give them a call. Or drop me an email if you want to join the world's largest and best service organization, Lions International

The 1991 was a period of growth and expansion in the District 323 A2, INDIA. Communities were being established and when Late Lion T. R. Jain - District Governor of 323 A2 moved into the area, he saw the need for a new Lions club. The challenge was accepted by 47 men and women and the Bombay Hilltop Lions Club was sponsored and chartered in September 1991, in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai City. Ninteen (19) of these members are still active Lions. We celebrate our proud history and look forward to the future.Together we pledge to serve with enthusiasm in unity and fellowship.

FUN & FELLOWSHIP
Fun and Fellowship are very important aspects of Lionism. Wishing Well has always been a very welcome place where members, families and friends share meals and have fun at meetings, at member?s homes, restaurants, with other clubs and at other activities. Holidays and anniversaries are times to celebrate together. The Lion Tail Twister is always busy, keeping us entertained at meetings. Forums, District, Multiple District, and International Conventions provide us with the opportunity to renew friendships and to make new friends. Our members enjoy the fellowship of these, and other events.

MELVIN JONES FELLOWSHIP RECIPIENTS
The Melvin Jones Fellowship, was created in 1973, takes its name from the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones. It is an honor--not an award. The Melvin Jones Fellowship was established as Lions Clubs International Foundation?s (LCIF) highest form of recognition to acknowledge an individual's dedication to humanitarian service.

The Melvin Jones Fellowship is the backbone of LCIF, providing 70 percent of its revenues. A recognition of humanitarian work, an Melvin Jones Fellowship is given to those who give US$1,000 to LCIF or to people for whom a donation was made by others. Melvin Jones Fellows receive an attractive lapel pin, a plaque and a congratulatory letter.

Melvin Jones Fellows of Bombay Hilltop Lions Club :- Congratulations to Lion Rakesh Chaumal, Lion Ruchitaa Mehrra and Lion Rajesh Mehra as they were presented with a Melvin Jones Fellowship and welcomed into their circle. Melvin Jones Fellowship, named after the founder of the Lions Organization, is an outstanding expression of recognition for devoted service to community and club.

Visitors to Sydney love its vibrancy and its beautiful harbour, sailboats and ferry rides, outdoor cafs and harbourside shops. Beyond the city there are friendly towns, national parks and beautiful beaches up and down the coast.

July 4 - 8, 2011 - Seattle, Washington, USA

LIONS INTERNATIONAL ETHICS & OBJECTS

Given below are the Ethics and Objects of Lions International
that are read out at all our meetings.

   Lions International Objects
  • To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world.
  • To Promote the principle of good government and good citizenship.
  • To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.
  • To Unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.
  • To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.
  • To Encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

PROUDLY
INDIAN

Lions Code of Ethics

  • To Show my faith in the worthiness of my vocation by industrious application to the end that I may merit a reputation for quality of service.
  • To Seek success and to demand all fair remuneration or profit as my just due, but to accept no profit or success at the price of my own self-respect lost because of unfair advantage taken or because of questionable acts on my part.
  • To Remember that in building up my business it is not necessary to tear down another's; to be loyal to my clients or customers and true to myself.
  • Whenever a doubt arises as to the right or ethics of my position or action towards others, to resolve such doubts against myself.
  • To Hold friendship as an end and not a means. To hold that true friendship exists not on account of the service performed by one another, but that true friendship demands nothing but accepts service in the spirit in which it is given.
  • Always to bear in mind my obligations as a citizen to my nation, my state, and my community, as to give them my unswerving loyalty in word, act, and deed. To give them freely of my time, labor and means.
  • To Aid others by giving my sympathy to those in distress, my aid to the weak, and my substance to the needy.
  • To Be Careful with my criticism and liberal with my praise; to build up and not destroy
